Social Wellness

A big part of overall health is social life. If you have a lot of friends or people that you get along with life will be so much easier. This boosts self confidence and and boosts motivation to do better. Obviuosly if you don't feel good and look good your social self will not be as high, but the reverse side of this is also true. If ou have no friends or anyone that cares about you why would you get out of bed and do things to better yourself? Most people wouldn't have the motivation to be healthy if it wasn't for social interactions and social replication. This is why I have put together a self confidence challenge to help boost your moral and motivation. Starting with baby steps and focusing on little things to help boost self confidence will greatly appreciate your motivation for wellness. So here are the steps I would like you to try out in the next few weeks to improving your life.

Week 1: Focus on holding your head high and not looking down at the ground all day. This is simple enough and may sound dumb, but you would be surprised how many more interactions you will have with others just by keeping your head up and looking for them. focus on this every day for the first week.

Week 2: Along with keeping those eyes up, this week I would like you to say "Hello" or "Good Morning" (whatever greeting is appropriate) to two strangers every day. It will amaze you as to how many people you have been passing by and not talking to. Any of these people could share the same ideas or personality as yourself and to think you have just now met them because of a simple "Hello".

Week 3: To keep building on steps one and two and meeting new people, this week do somehing for yourself. Go out and buy yourelf a new outfit that represents who you are, or go get a new haircut, get that tattoo etc. Do something that represents you in a bold new way. Showing off who you really are may be a shock to others, but most will respect that you were brave enough to be yourself. If not then oh well, you will be happier because you had the confidence to do it.

Week 4: Ask one someone you know to grab coffee, dinner or just go do something that sounds fun. This may not go as well as you plan and they may cancel on you, but don't give up. If they cancel they are missing out, ask again or ask someone new until you find the right person to add to your life circle. Once you find someone to be close with your social life will start booming.

These are some simple tips to finding the better you. Use this as a guide and really stick with it you will be amazed by the results. Good luck!
