Legs are the hardest thing for me to get in the mood to workout. When I workout legs it seems to be more of a cardio workout than a power lifting workout. You must use your entire body to support weight being lifted with you legs which is why it is probably the most important body section to workout. When working out your legs you must be in the right mind set and be motivated to hit them hard. I have recently replaced creatine with a product called Nutrilite Rhodiola 110 to get me amped up for any workout. Rhodiola increases energy and endurance to give me that starting pump and get into the right mood to workout any body part, especially legs. Here is the workout I currently do for my legs:
10 min. cardio warm up
5 set 5 reps deadlift
5 sets 5 reps hang clean
3 sets 10 reps leg press
3 sets 10 reps cable reverse leg extension
3 sets 10 reps seated leg extension (quads)
3 sets 10 reps seated leg contraction (hamstrings)
5 sets 20 reps calf raises
Before and after this workout it is always good to stretch and let your muscles recover. It is also important to get a good source of protein to start repairing muscle tissue.
